We would like to provide image credits and thanks to the photographers who have generously allowed us to use their stunning photography on our website.  On our homepage you will find most of them represented. Thank you, lovely people!

Carmen Bird

Carmen came to us as a stargazer, who enjoyed a stargazing experience at Pah Point, a location we no longer use for Health and Safety reasons. Once the experience had finished, she suggested she take some photos and one of the images she took, the black and yellow solitary stargazer with telescope, is the one we chose for most of our promotional material and the main image on our website.

Carol Comer

Carol is an island resident and an astrophotographer. She has been amazingly generous with her time, stalking us during experiences 😉 and with her images. Carol takes clients on astrophotography workshops around the most stellar island locations.

Mark Russell - Mark has family connections to the island and can often be found mostly around Medlands Beach, day and night. He shot the images that were used for the initial announcement of Great Barrier Island as a Dark Sky Sanctuary in 2017 and has been very supportive, both of the island as a stargazing destination and of supporting us, his stargazing friends.

James Rua - James came to us with ATEED, now Auckland unlimited and some of the images he took in the daytime are shot very close to our stargazing site. The photos he took during one of our experiences and of his sojourn on Great Barrier Island are used in promotional material for Auckland Unlimited.

Thanks for your beautiful images.
